Dr. Claudio Bernardi Aesthetic Surgery |
| Dr. Claudio Bernardi was born in Rome in 1956. He is married and has three
children. In 1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Rome
University "La Sapienza" and specialized in General Surgery with a thesis
on mammary reconstruction. His activity as a plastic surgeon started in
1984, when he became Dr. F. Saccomanno's first assistant at the "Santo
Volto" private Clinic. At that time he also started a multiple-stage
training program for specialization in Plastic Surgery at the "Serviço de
Cirurgìa Plàstica do Sanatorio Santa Catarina" in San Paolo, Brazil, which
was headed by Prof. Roberto A.B. Millan and acknowledged by the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery.He participated in clinical stages at the "Kommunehospital" in Aarhus,
Denmark, and at the "Dijkzigt Hospital" in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

In Reconstructive Surgery he is a dermatological surgeon and is concerned with skin tumors and mammary reconstruction. Special mention should be made of Dr. Bernardi's clinical experience in the reconstructive surgery of the perineum. His experience in this particular sector is recognized at an international level. He is a Plastic Surgery Consultant and a Teacher at the Rome Coloproctology Unit. Perineoplasty is a solution for many diseases such as non-healing wounds and scars distorting and retracting the anus. He is the only surgeon in Europe performing a simple procedure such as lipofilling in the treatment of selected cases of faecal incontinence. At present Dr. Bernardi works in Surgical Centers and Clinics in Rome.
