Dr. Wexner Steven D. - General Surgery / Chirurgia Generale

Dr. Wexner acts as chief of staff at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, Cleveland Clinic Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Naples. He also serves as chairman for the Division of Research and Education of the Cleveland Clinic Florida, as director of the Residency Program, as a chairman for the Department of Colorectal Disease. He is also professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation health Sciences Center of Ohio State University as well as clinical professor of the Department of Surgery of the University of South Florida. In addition, he is honorary professor of the University of Siena, Italy and of the Hadassah Medical Organization, Israel.

Dr. Wexner is the Director of the most important International Colorectal Disease Symposium, which is held every February in Fort Lauderdale. In addition, every year he instructs 15-20 surgeons in laparotomy and colon and rectal surgery, procto-rectal physiology, management of colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis etc. His peers from all around the world have recognized Dr. Wexner's high level of surgical skills.

He has and published more than 230 articles. In addition, he has instructed many colleagues in colorectal surgery and has authored for teaching books articles, and book chapters. He is a member of many professional organizations both national and international. From 1999 he is an honorary member of the "Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh" and from 2000 he is an honorary member of the "Royal College of Surgeons in England".
